Here’s More Video From Wisconsin’s Socially Distanced Nu-Metal Fest
We now have more video from this past weekend’s “Mini Fest,” courtesy of YouTube’s Gnomed Gnarf (by way of The PRP). The event, once known as “Herd Immunity Fest,” took place at the Q&Z Expo Center in Ringle, Wisconsin. Ringle is part of Marathon County, where COVID-19 cases continue to be on the rise. The venue was reportedly only selling 2,000 – 2,500 tickets (depending on who you ask) to a space with a 10,000 person capacity.
The previously-released fan-filmed footage, of the closing set by Static-X, didn’t give us a very idea of what the crowd actually looked like at the socially distance nu-metal festival. This new video is a montage of various acts, and is filmed from much further back in the crowd, thereby providing a much stronger sense of how far apart concertgoers remained from one another.
The answer, unfortunately, seems to be “not very far.” There aren’t many masks on display, either, not counting some of the musicians performing.
